'Absolutely appalled and disgusted': See why Travis Tritt is pissed off at US lawmakers

Country star Travis Tritt doesn’t spend a lot of his Twitter time on politics. But when he does, he means business.

I'm absolutely appalled and disgusted over the government cutting US military retiree benefits in the new budget deal. #KeepYourPromise

— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) December 17, 2013

@DJ_Weaz New budget deal cuts $6 billion in military retiree benefits over next 10 years. These benefits were promised when they signed up.

Fox News has more on the provision that could cut U.S. military retirees’ benefits by $6 billion over 10 years.

I hope that every Senator & Congress person will be held accountable by the voters. Both parties in both houses have lots to answer for.

— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) December 17, 2013

If the govt can break its promises to those who put their lives on the line for our country, no govt promise is reliable. #KeepYourPromise

— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) December 17, 2013

Huge hypocrisy of govt members who criticize the Prez for breaking "keep your doc" promise then vote to break promises to retired military.

— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) December 17, 2013

Tritt joined many others in using the #KeepYourPromise hashtag.

@SenatorReid Another lie, If you like your military retirement, you will be able to keep your military retirement. #KeepYourPromise

Hey Congress, our military fights for your rights to be lap dogs of the President. Wanna keep your jobs? #KeepYourPromise

Tritt continues:

Shameful, isn't it? “suzieqolden: .@Travistritt No government promise is EVER reliable #KeepYourPromise”

— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) December 17, 2013

@WitchyWays_1969 There seems to be plenty of hypocrisy to go around for both Republicans and Democrats. Shameful! #KeepYourPromise

— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) December 17, 2013

Amen. Politicians on both sides of the aisle must be held accountable for their actions.

@GregScott04 Sad, but true! Perhaps if they would be voted out of office for breaking promises, they wouldn't be inclined to do it as often.

— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) December 17, 2013

@idideat4414505 No wonder that the disapproval ratings for US Senate and Congress are so high. #KeepYourPromise

— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) December 17, 2013

Yep.
