'Whoops!' Sen. Angus King deletes evidence that he finds Maine a very confusing place

Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, served two terms as the governor of Maine. On Wednesday, he visited Bangor City Hall … only that’s not how he told the story.

Portland? Bangor? Same diff!

King thanked a couple of Twitter followers for bringing the flub to his attention.

But then he quietly deleted the tweets, both of which were archived by Politwoops.

Darn memory holes! They’re even harder to figure out than the difference between Bangor and Portland.
