Romney remembers 9/11 on Twitter as Obama disgracefully begs for campaign volunteers

On the 11th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, Mitt Romney tweeted this:

Revoltingly, in President Obama’s first tweet of the day, he put politics first. Specifically, his own reelection effort:

No mention of the thousands of lives lost and thousands more shattered when terrorists attacked our homeland. No tribute to American endurance and the ongoing fight for freedom. Just a link to a stomach-turningly inappropriate, self-involved plea to “Volunteer for Barack.”

So much for a moratorium on campaigning today.

Never forget … the campaigner in chief has an election coming up. The right side of the Twitterverse was sickened.

Both candidates acknowledged the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in statements and speeches, but only Team Obama found it appropriate to tweet a call to serve the president’s campaign on what he proclaimed a “National Day of Service.”

Update: Obama henchman David Axelrod is also keeping a laser-like focus on the campaign today.
