Bobby Gladden charged as adult in Perry Hall shooting; dinosaur media finally reveal his name

Yesterday Twitchy reported that classmates identified the alleged gunman in the Perry Hall High School shooting as Bobby Gladden.

Today, after 15-year-old Robert Wayne Gladden Jr. was charged with attempted first degree murder and first degree assault, the dinosaur media finally decided to share his name with their audiences.

Yesterday a “real journalist” slammed Twitchy for reporting the name of Jesse Wasmer, the heroic guidance counselor who tackled the suspected shooter. We explained that while Twitchy’s motto is “who said what,” the dinosaur media cling bitterly to an outdated model:

Once again, Twitchy beat the self-appointed gatekeepers of information by reporting that Perry Hall students identified the alleged shooter by name. Twitchy also reported on the suspect’s chilling Facebook profile and what his classmates were saying about him long before the dinosaurs.

Unsurprisingly, the reporter who criticized us for “irresponsibly” scooping the mainstream media blocked us on Twitter.

Twitchy is chipping away at the old school media’s exclusive domain over the news. And bless their hearts, some reporters aren’t taking it well.
