First Newark Mayor Cory Booker called Obama’s attacks on Bain Capital “crap.” Harold Ford backed him up, and both Ed Rendell and Mark Warner criticized the Obama campaign strategy.
The latest Democrat to offer praise for Bain Capital is Massachusetts governor and Obama surrogate Deval Patrick. On “Morning Joe” today, he reiterated what he said about Bain in a CNN interview last week.

“Bain is a perfectly fine company. They have a role in the private economy, and I’ve got a lot of friends there,” said Patrick on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I think the Bain strategy has been distorted in some of the public discussions.”
Patrick also called Romney a “gentleman” and mentioned that the unemployment rate when he replaced Romney as Massachusetts governor was pretty darn good.

Since Patrick wasn’t burned for heresy last time he said nice things to say about Bain, it may be that Cory Booker smoothed the path for liberals who praise capitalism. But could we see another hostage video after Patrick gets more of this treatment?
