New York Times: Terrorist attacks suck. They 'could derail' Obama's presidency.

Radical panty bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to take down an airplane carrying nearly 300 people. But forget the potential victims. Won’t somebody think of what this means for Obama?

The quote comes from the second paragraph of a lengthy New York Times report on Obama’s leadership in the war on Al Qaeda. Emphasis ours:

It was Jan. 19, 2010, the end of a first year in office punctuated by terrorist plots and culminating in a brush with catastrophe over Detroit on Christmas Day, a reminder that a successful attack could derail his presidency. Yet he faced adversaries without uniforms, often indistinguishable from the civilians around them.

The lapdog media are now dizzy from chasing their own tails, desperately spinning to explain to the far Left why hope and change includes less cuddling and hugging of poor misunderstood terrorists, more killing:

But will the spin be enough for progressives?

There’s much more to dissect in the Times article. Read the whole thing.
