Newt Gingrich: Obama kind of had a Jimmy Carter moment on gay marriage, didn't he?

Newt Gingrich took a brief break from zoo-hopping this morning to talk to Laura Ingraham about Barack Obama’s “evolution” on same-sex marriage.

Dinner table policy—always the sign of a serious leader.

Gingrich was referring to the 1980 presidential debate in which Carter said he talked to his daughter Amy about what the most important issue of the day was. Her convenient response? “Nuclear weaponry – and the control of nuclear arms.”

Just like Carter, Obama doesn’t think kids should be “off limits” when he can use them as political tools. And just like Carter, thoroughly embarrassed himself by hiding behind his children.
