What matters to Ambassador Samantha Power? Here’s what’s not high on her list of priorities: explaining whether her tweet about Daniel Pearl, the journalist kidnapped and beheaded by jihadists in 2002, was evil or merely a confirmation of her stupidity. (Or perhaps both.)
She issued a “correction” that once again paraded her idiocy and affinity for word salad, but calls for her resignation continued to bounce around Twitter.
The same day Power suggested that Pearl’s death was a reminder that “reconciliation” is necessary “to break cycles of violence,” she hosted a Facebook chat using the hashtag #WhatMatters. It’s pretty clear what matters to Power: appeasement and the delight she takes in her broken moral compass.
