Google does know it’s Flag Day, right?
Currently Trending: Man of Steel, Flag Day, Man Of Steel Reviews, Wendi Deng, … on Google Search.

Right.
Last month Google won high praise for the heartwarming and emotional Google doodle that depicted a dad’s return from Iraq. The doodle by a 17-year-old student was the winner of the 2013 U.S. Doodle 4 Google competition.
But the search giant isn’t winning much praise today. Google continues to snub patriotic holidays, while Bing proudly flies the flag again.

Predictable, but citizens are taking notice:
@google you missed the mark on your search page today. I expected to see the "Google" logo in flag colors. Happy #FlagDay

@google you can create graphics for Maurice Sendak BD but you can't create something for Flag Day? What's up with that G?

Really @google ? No doodle for Flag Day? I guess only @bing acknowledges Flag Day.

Thank you @bing for the Flag Day reminder as mine is now out front. Had I used @google, it would just be another day. Clearly, it isn't.

On Tuesday, Google did highlight national pride, however: a doodle presented on some local versions of the site honored Russia Day. June 12 was also highlighted regionally as Independence Day in the Philippines.
Flag Day, not so much.
