Srsly. He is.
It appears that White House press secretary Jay Carney is not prepared to let Boo-gate fizzle out on its own. Like President Obama, he’s got laser-like focus on the issues that truly matter to the American people.
Jay Carney is officially worse than Robert Gibbs. Spin a baseball story?! #headdesk @PressSec

Carney told reporters that President Obama was most certainly not booed when he joked about infielder Kevin Youkilis being traded to the Chicago White Sox at a Monday fundraiser. He insisted they “were saying ‘Yoooook and not Booo’ for God’s sake.”

The spin continued on Twitter where he argued with BuzzFeed reporter Zeke Miller.
. @ZekeJMiller Excellent WH stenos not members of Red Sox Nation. To untrained ear "Yoooouk!" and "Boooo!" sound alike. Crowd said both.

Apparently, much like Obama, no one will let Carney be clear. So he continued:
Let's be clear: POTUS, a proud ChiSox fan, thanked Boston crowd for Youk. Some booed. Others, like me, cried "Yoooouk!" in sad memoriam.

As Twitchy pointed out earlier today:
@PressSec @ZekeJMiller the POTUS acknowledged in the speech that he was getting booed…

The official White House transcript disagrees with Carney as well.

Whether Obama was getting booed or Youked, Carney’s latest rendition of “SQUIRREL!” merited a sound mocking, courtesy of the Twitterverse.

BTW, @PressSec U say "YOOOOK! YOOOOOK! YOOOOOK!" I say "Yuk!Yuk!Yuk!" (ah, the dizzying spinage….)

@BrandonKiser @presssec You don't understand;the booings are impacting the Pres. self esteem. He can't tell us how to live if he feels bad.
