White House on jobs crisis: No biggie, we'll just keep on keepin' on. Also, BUSH!

Following a devastating jobs report that’s fueling recession fears, the White House spin began this morning with a response by Alan Krueger, Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers:

Problems in the job market were long in the making and will not be solved overnight.

So, then, about how many nights would you say this will take to solve?

But at least Obama will hold himself accountable for the failed recovery, right?

The economy lost jobs for 25 straight months beginning in February 2008, and over 8 million jobs were lost as a result of the Great Recession.  We are still fighting back from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

Blaaaaame Booooosh!

Yeah, nothing shocking there. But maybe the White House has some ideas about how to turn this economy around?

It is critical that we continue the President’s economic policies that are helping us dig our way out of the deep hole that was caused by the severe recession.

The spin isn’t just coming from the White House. As always, Andrea Mitchell is doing her part:

The Twitterverse doesn’t find the absurd White House statement very convincing.
