According to a New York Times report, Facebook has taken down 652 accounts and pages related to potential tampering with the 2018 midterm elections.

Apparently, they found 652 potentially problematic accounts after finding just 32 last month, and some of these originated in Russia and Iran:
“Facebook said it had identified a new political influence campaign on its platform that appeared intended to disrupt the midterm elections. The social network found and took down 652 fake accounts and pages that were trying to sow discord around social issues.”

It is comforting to see action being taken against rogue nations looking to meddle in the upcoming midterm elections, especially since the list of offending nations seems to be growing.
