Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the newly-elected Democratic nominee in the race for New York’s 14th Congressional seat, is now trying to explain why she’s not totally a socialist, even though she is and was ENDORSED by the Democratic Socialists of America.
Here is her explanation on “Meet the Press” Sunday morning with Chuck Todd.
WATCH: Is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez running as a Democrat or as a Democratic Socialist?

That particular quote is self-contradictory. You cannot partially be beholden to socialist policies. Either you are a socialist or you’re not.
Spoiler alert: She is a socialist.

You also have to love Chuck Todd helping her explain her positions to “older Democrats” who may not get the whole Socialism thing, as if the ideology originated five years ago.
To simplify: She is a socialist with socialist policy objectives. For further examination of what that will mean in Congress, check the voting record and rhetoric of Sen. Bernie Sanders.
