Even former Obama advisor David Axelrod believes the expulsion of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders from a restaurant further proves the point that President Trump has been making.
Kind of amazed and appalled by the number of folks on Left who applauded the expulsion of @PressSec and her family from a restaurant.
This, in the end, is a triumph for @realDonaldTrump vision of America:
Now we’re divided by red plates & blue plates!#sad— David Axelrod (@davidaxelrod) June 24, 2018
Oh yes. Let’s get REALLY tough and deprive the Trumpies of Chanterelle & Scape Risotto! That will change EVERYTHING!✊ https://t.co/pkMeedlnFw

In this instance, Axelrod has a very decent point.
THANK YOU DAVID!!
Normally, I disagree with you. https://t.co/2KFK8VQVod

Axelrod gets it. This behavior actually feeds into the exact kind of Trumpism that the left says it wants to avoid. https://t.co/vEtn0HRQVY

His commentary does, however, seem out of touch with the reality of the American Left right now.
Why would this amaze him?

As Axelrod indicates in his original tweet, this is not a popular opinion on the Left.
Kind of amazed anyone with a working brain stem would be angrier at people pushing back against fascists than at fascists. https://t.co/VIOQtuxTke

This is very stupid. I know they're your friends but some of us are trying to have a country here, David. https://t.co/jAOQQvOxK2

Surely more of them know this is a bad look. While it technically the prerogative of any restaurant to throw Sanders out, what good is that going to do the company or anyone else?
