It is with a heavy heart that we report that Hot Air’s Mary Katharine Ham lost her husband, Jake Brewer, Saturday in a bicycle accident.
Brewer was 34 years of age and was serving in the White House Office of Science and Technology.

Such a terrible loss; way too early.
If you would like to make a donation, the Jake Brewer memorial education fund has been set up.
Mary Katharine took to Instagram and shared some of the fond memories of their time together.
Condolences from friends and colleagues poured in.
Our hearts are breaking for our friend and colleague, @mkhammer, and for the loss of @jakebrewer. RIP & prayers. https://t.co/E6UTJvoICk
