Salon wants to know if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the next Barack Obama.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the next Barack Obama? https://t.co/5ZXrbRr1J5

Waaaay too early to be asking that.
She. Hasn’t. Even. Been. Elected. Yet.
I hope the hell not https://t.co/NDeTK0f66H

Even liberals are uneasy with this comparison.
I'm not a huge Obama person but he had more policy knowledge in his pinky than Cortez does as a whole. So, please no https://t.co/3yl5GdP9FC

Congrats to Salon on writing an article that artfully avoids her blunders and absolute detachment from reality.
If she is the future of the democratic party then dems and all Americans should be worried. https://t.co/Qtii8HA0q4

While Barack Obama’s ascendancy was rapid compared to most presidents, he had at least been a U.S. senator for four years before becoming president and a state senator for over six years before that.
Ocasio-Cortez has held no office of any significance (even in the private sector) thus far.
So, before anyone begins to think that she could take her socialist agenda and even be competitive in a national election, let’s see if she can successfully take it to New York’s 14th Congressional District.
