Democrats have a standard playbook when it comes to opposing the GOP, and they go to that well often. Remember the “Granny Off the Cliff” ad about Paul Ryan’s plan to propose cuts in Medicare back in 2011 after the Republicans had won back the House? Here’s a refresher.
Fast forward to January 8th, 2017, and they are using the same exact line of attack. Check out New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

In addition to not being able to find an original metaphor, Booker seems to be forgetting that Obamacare has been shoving Americans off of financial cliffs for years.
Except that passing the ACA was like "shoving someone off a cliff." https://t.co/gYhad2SZn1

Democrats have succeeded in creating a confusing, more expensive and tumultuous healthcare environment in this county. Now that their power has been taken away, they can’t handle it.
