And we’ve reached the part of the story in Canada where cops are threatening to take your pet away if you’re protesting:
Attention animal owners at demonstration
If you are unable to care for your animal as a result of enforcement actions, your animal will placed into protective care for 8 days, at your cost. After 8 days, if arrangements are not made, your animal will be considered relinquished. pic.twitter.com/OkbXc8RE3c

Apparently, there are a lot of dogs at the protest:

There are a LOT of doggos up there. https://t.co/OFFi2c8nhr

This is some major “That’s a nice dog you have there. It sure would be a shame if something happened to him” energy:

Unbelievable, yet, so on brand:
This is theft and you are animal abusers. https://t.co/s34hbpR0r2

It’s a pattern!
What is it with libs and abusing puppies? First Fauci, now Trudeau! https://t.co/DCVsqsGYfQ

Show us the lie?
Ottawa is a country song.
They'll take your dog.
They'll take your kids.
They'll take your truck. https://t.co/oenDG0jbYH— Sheila Gunn Reid (@SheilaGunnReid) February 17, 2022
And they’ll take your bank account:
One possible, explicit punishment for participating in a peaceful protest in Canada — beyond freezing your bank accounts — is that the state will take your pet and, after 8 days, declare it "relinquished" if other "arrangements are not made." https://t.co/9hrVSyHNlF
