Gov. Ron DeSantis moves to stop CRT in schools and the workplace

Earlier this morning, Gov. Ron DeSantis unveiled new legislation take a “stand against critical race theory in [Florida’s] schools and in the workplace” with the Stop Wronging Our Kids and Employees Act (Stop W.O.K.E. Act):

Highlights:

“Governor says he views wokeness as a form of ‘cultural marxism.'”

They’re “trying to tear at the fabric of our society and our culture” and “trying to erase history by replace the foundings of our country and replace it with leftist ideology”:

The Stop W.O.K.E. Act will be introduced early next year:

And the “legislation will give parents of kids in schools and employees a private right of action against critical race theory in curriculum or employment training being used in corporations”:
