Cori Bush has a special message for America on July 4th: 'This land is stolen land and Black people still aren't free'

Happy 4th of July, from Rep. Cori Bush:

When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people.

This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free.

Really, though?

Then how are you allowed to say this? https://t.co/elxToOmUr7

It’s a real mystery:

How were you elected, then?

What a wrong message to share this day:

People shouldn't be this proud of their ignorance. Most of world history people have lived without individual freedom. The 4th of July represents a huge shift from the norm. It outlined principles that were then used to extend individual freedom to all Americans. https://t.co/lRqqckV8Fc

The idea that "Black people still aren't free" is obvious nonsense that is disproven by the very fact that the person saying it is a Congresswoman with a large platform and has the freedom to spew such nonsense and attack the very country that allows her that freedom & success.

100% this:

You are so deeply, profoundly, embarrassingly ignorant. https://t.co/PfznDiYIGy
