The Athletic’s Zach Berman reports that Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is making draft prospects compete against coaches in games of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” and “Jeopardy!” to “determine how they’ll fit in the environment [he’s] trying to create in Philly”:
Nick Sirianni said coaches are playing Rock, Paper, Scissors and Jeopardy against draft prospects. The objective is to gauge a prospect’s competitive spirit to determine how they’ll fit in the environment Sirianni is trying to create in Philly.

And, yes, he really said this:
#Eagles HC Nick Sirianni says he played rock-paper-scissors and trash talked with draft prospects to gauge their competitiveness.
"When you compete with someone that's competitive, they're gonna go at you no matter what game you're playing."pic.twitter.com/iMUIny1X0o

This really is “beyond parody”:
Yeah that’ll work.
The Eagles are beyond parody. https://t.co/HT2DN4spdk

Don’t give them any ideas:
I, for one, prefer the following to gauge comeptitiveness among professional athletes:
Go Fish
Freeze Tag/TV Tag
Hopscotch

But what if it works!
Congratulations in advance to the Eagles beat writer who ends up selling a book about this absolute nightmare of a season we're in for https://t.co/vcpDzQb7q3

We wonder how past prospects would’ve reacted to it?
We go live to Radio city music hall to Adam Schefter. Why has Chris Long plummeted in the draft tonight? “Well, word got out that he refused to play rock-paper-scissors with the Eagles”

And maybe it’s a test to see which draft prospects understand that it’s a nonsense test?
I would do this if I was a scouting director, but only draft players who laughed at me like I was a complete idiot for suggesting it https://t.co/AJ35RIIQ7m

Anyway, the NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 29, so we’ll have to wait until then to see just how much the Eagles really relied on this reported analysis:
Imagine not getting picked by the #Eagles because Nick Sirianni didn't think you're competitive enough in a during a rock-paper-scissors game.
