Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines testified in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Wednesday and said the intelligence community has not yet discounted the theory that COVID-19 originally leaked out of a lab in Wuhan, China:

Haines said they’re investigating two scenarios: 1. It originated with an animat and 2. it was a lab accident:

CIA Director William Burns added that China “has not been fully forthcoming or fully transparent”:
