As good as things are getting right now in the U.S. in terms of cases and vaccinations, things are going in the opposite direction in Europe:
European Union's Covid Crisis

EU: 11.42Average Daily Vaccinations:
US: 2.4 million

And this has cities all over Europe headed to another lockdown:
Large parts of Europe are beginning a third wave of the COVID19 pandemic:
*UK variant now makes up 3/4 of new cases in Germany.
*502 daily deaths in Italy.
*Poland announces 3-week lockdown.
*France considers weekend lockdowns.https://t.co/5U61q8HZwO pic.twitter.com/L1A1RyOGcB— Jim Roberts (@nycjim) March 18, 2021
Here we go again:

Kyiv imposes 3-week lockdown as 3rd wave of #coronavirus hits Ukraine.
*Experts believe 3rd wave will be the worst yet with 40,000 infections & 1,000 deaths per day.
*Theaters, museums, concert halls, shopping malls shut down.
*Most schools will be remote.https://t.co/xcvSIWVYwz pic.twitter.com/cVYOd5hxbi— Jim Roberts (@nycjim) March 18, 2021
Have they learned nothing from the U.S., especially Florida? It can be managed:

But one major difference is that vaccines in Europe are a mess:
France's vaccine rollout is a mess and President Macron is culpable. The only antidote to a 3rd wave — bar lockdown — is widespread vaccination. I expect at least Greater Paris (Ile de France) to be in lockdown by the weekend. Very sad. https://t.co/fWtRC4zKmZ

Cases in England, however, are dropping, thanks to that country’s better vaccination numbers than the continent:

The EU also threatened to stop vaccine exports to the UK:

But this would be the same vaccine that they’ve put on hold over fears of blood clots:

The WHO continues to say the AstraZeneca vaccine is safe:

And get ready for vaccine passports:
