Parler CEO John Matze told Reuters News that his social media platform “may not return” after multiple vendors stopped doing business with the company in the wake of the Capitol takeover on January 6:

But he later added that he’s an “optimist” and “it may take days, it may take weeks but Parler will return and when we do we will be stronger”:

One thing that would certainly help the company is if President Trump were to join. But in a legal filing against Amazon, Matze says the president was going to join using a pseudonym:

And he thinks this played a part in Amazon’s decision to cancel its contract with Parler:

Additionally, the NYT is reporting that Jared Kushner and Dan Scavino “pushed back and stopped” President Trump from joining Parler officially after he was banned from Twitter:
