On yesterday’s “Saturday Night Live,” cast member Pete Davidson called out anti-lockdown protesters in his home borough of Staten Island:
Pete Davidson rips Staten Island's anti-COVID-19 lockdown 'babies' on 'SNL' https://t.co/rytYQnEYdN pic.twitter.com/o5teaiYv00

So, the guy who is allowed to perform indoors in front of an audience without a mask and without any social distancing during the pandemic says the people who want to earn a living on Staten Island are “babies”?
I can’t help but notice he said this at his job. https://t.co/mZ2FkHmRlX

Note, “SNL” is allowed to have a live audience thanks to a loophole where they now pay the audience members:
Meanwhile every person who works on Broadway is out of luck until June 2021 even though, y'know, sitting in the audience at a show vs at SNL is the same thing. Guess they can't pay $150 to each audience member.

Based on this bit, why should “SNL” still be allowed to claim this exemption?
“SNL” paid members of the audience who attended its season premiere on Saturday — the show’s first live episode since March — to get around New York's pandemic reopening guidelines prohibiting live audiences, the state’s health department said.https://t.co/Zz4jFzmq8A

Staten Island councilman Joe Borelli is none too pleased with it all:
Why is Pete allowed to preach indoors, with an audience, no mask, at his job? https://t.co/8AgilIsmS1

Maybe Pete is a superspreader? The city should investigate, just like they would a bar or restaurant:
For further reference. Pete lives in a basement around the corner from me in the orange zone. He may be a superspreader, who knows.
If SNL was a restaurant in rock center, they’d be fined for this. If SNL was a movie or Broadway theater next door, they’d be closed.

DRAG THEM:
Nope, I’ll go on. They aren’t socially distant at the desk.
And there are 100 people in the audience, divided into pods of 7-8… this does not comply with the governors orders. https://t.co/CNAT0pMD72 pic.twitter.com/t6sRSW5Mim

In fact. Despite the twitter saying otherwise… there is no social distance by the cast or audience. pic.twitter.com/YCGwBvHVVw
