Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is using her perch as a Member of Congress to call for a boycott of the New York Post over its cover last week criticizing fellow Dem Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota:

AOC’s trying to spin it as not personally calling for the boycott, but amplifying those around her calling for the boycott, which is as incoherent as everything else she says:
Whaaaa?@AOC – “And also I think it is important to, to assert that I didn't call for a boycott of the New York Post… I'm amplifying organizing that's happening on the ground, and I, I do think that there's a substantive difference between the two.” https://t.co/kPZSM2xToG

Notably, she’s trying to hurt a business in her hometown:
I'm not calling for a boycott. I'm just supportively sharing calls for boycott.

Exit question: What would Brian Stelter and all the other alleged media watchdogs out there say if the president adopted this language?
This formula would be great for @realDonaldTrump!
“I think it is important to assert that I didn't call for a boycott of the failing New York Times… I'm amplifying organizing that's happening on the ground, and I do think that there's a substantive difference between the two.”— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) April 17, 2019
