Dear Diary,
I was covering the president today while he toured the border in Calexico, Calif. where he said some really mean things.
First up, called some of the asylum seekers “gang members”:
Trump with new rhetorical hand grenades immigration: "you know I look at some of these asylum people. They’re gang members."

Then he said our country is all full up!
Trump at the border: "Our country is full. … Can’t take you anymore, I’m sorry. So turn around. That’s the way it is. “

And then he criticized the Flores Settlement Agreement which states how long the U.S. can keep a minor immigrant child in custody, but he didn’t get it totally right so I had to fact-check him:
Trump “We’ve had some very bad court decisions. The Flores decision is a disaster, I have to tell you. Judge Flores, whoever you may be, that decision is a disaster for our country." As CNN has previously reported, Flores was a 15-year-old girl from El Salvador. via @maeganvaz

More coverage not from the diary of our favorite CNN journo:
Trump says asylum seekers are gang members who don't need any protection. "It's scam, it's a hoax. I know about hoaxes, I just went through a hoax."

And here:
TRUMP: "Asylum – you know, I look at some of these asylum people, they're gang members. They're not afraid of anything. They have lawyers greeting them. They read what lawyers tell them to read…they say, 'I fear for my life.' They're the ones causing fear for life. It's a scam" pic.twitter.com/2RDowBcAkg
