SHOTS FIRED!
In his speech at AIPAC on Sunday, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer took a not-so-veiled shot at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, telling the crowd “By the way there are 62 freshmen Democrats. You hear me? 62, not 3”:
"There are 62 freshman Democrats. Not three," Steny Hoyer says at AIPAC. Presumably he is talking about @AOC, @IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib.
Huge applause.

Breaking: steny hoyer is Very Mad about Ilhan! "By the way there are 61 freshman democratic members of congress not 3” he says

And this earned Hoyer a standing ovation:
.@LeaderHoyer gets a standing ovation while jabbing @IlhanMN @AOC @RashidaTlaib before an @AIPAC audience: ”By the way there are 62 freshmen Democrats. You hear me? 62, not 3. “

Of course, Hoyer could have taken this shot at Omar when it counted, but he didn’t:
This is dishonest posturing for the AIPAC audience. Hoyer went on record back when it mattered stating he does not believe Ilhan Omar said anything anti-semitic. https://t.co/z9yFtMLILK

And we expect some significant blowback on this once D.C. take a break from the Mueller report:
Wow.
DEMOCRATIC House Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer (@LeaderHoyer) is at @AIPAC throwing his own colleague, Ilhan Omar, under the bus.
Shameful.
And in one fell swoop, to fawning applause, he basically confirms @IlhanMN was right all along. https://t.co/yVKEibMGJq

P.S. Don’t bet against the establishment:
Hoyer and the old guard in the Democratic Party leadership stand with AIPAC while attacking emerging leaders like @RashidaTlaib, @AOC, & @IlhanMN for fighting for a progressive and humane foreign policy.
But as 2020 Democrats skip AIPAC, Hoyer & the old guard have already lost. https://t.co/ynjBZdapxE

Other Dems, however, will like it:
Hoyer’s remarks here will please a lot of new House Democrats who have no love for those “3" and resent that the party is to some extent being defined by them. https://t.co/T7bisSEZfR

As for AOC, Omar and Tlaib, no response . . .yet.
