NEVER MIND? NBC corrects its report on Twitter removing RTs and Likes

Just to update you on this story we told you about yesterday from NBC News that said Twitter is getting ready to “remove the engagement counts showing the number of retweets or ‘likes’ a tweet receives”. . .

. . .apparently it was FAKE NEWS and NBC News has since issued a correction:

This, however, still seems dumb to us. Especially since Twitter itself was promoting RTs and Likes after yesterday’s Facebook/Instagram outage:

And here they are promoting the story of the donut shop owner who went viral after his son posted a sad message to Twitter. Would this have even happened with hidden RTs and Likes?
