Reporter Jenan Moussa from Arabic Al Aan TV has a great thread up on Kurdish ISIS hunters who posed as girl from the UK who wanted to join ISIS and helped authorities arrest a known Dutch ISIS supporter when he showed up at an airport in Italy to marry the made-up love interest.

2/ Plan of Kurdish online ISIS hunters was as follows:
– Create twitter account.
– Pretend to be female living in UK who hates West &wants to move to ISIS territory .
– Actively approach known jihadi accounts.
– Hope jihadists fall for trap &reveal identity.

3/ At least one jihadist fell for the honey trap. His name was Mohamed Ghorshid, notorious ISIS supporter from the Dutch city of Maastricht.
Ghorshid was convicted in 2013 for trying to travel to Syria. He was active on twitter under the name: Salahaddin al Kurdi.@akhbar

4/ As both ISIS supporter and ISIS hunters are of Kurdish descent, the ISIS hunters really took it personal.

8/ Then Ghorshid and (fake) ISIS-woman decide to travel to ISIS territory in Syria/Iraq. They will meet in Rome, Italy. Plan is to marry.

9/ Ghorshid was in &out of jail in Holland.
2013 sentenced for attempt to travel to Syria.
2015-2017 imprisoned after he tried to join ISIS in Syria/Iraq.
2018 arrested after his name came up in investigation into double murder by jihadists in SAfrica.
He's currently in jail.
