MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tweeted Thursday night when that now-discredited BuzzFeed scoop on Michael Cohen was first published that “Nixon was literally impeached” over the allegations made in the story:

I should say: One of the articles of impeachment, which passed out of the judiciary and surely would have passed the house, was specifically for this. (In fact, a lesser offense, allowing untruths to go uncorrected in congressional testimony!)
