By now you’ve probably seen a liberal in your feed doing cartwheels over the Dallas Morning News and its endorsement of Beto O’Rourke in the Texas Senate race.
You see, according to libs, the editorial board is “right-leaning”:
Right-leaning Dallas Morning News endorses Beto O’Rourke instead of Cruz!! This is HUGE! https://t.co/mxtSTlKHxq

??WOW??
Right-leaning @dallasnews endorses @BetoORourke over @TedCruz: “In the divisive times in which we live, we believe that tone & leadership are the top issues w/which to judge these candidates' tenures in office. So we’re placing a bet on Beto.”??https://t.co/lkgDq5S8jW

And “conservative”:
Wow! Dallas Morning News’ conservative editorial board recommends @BetoORourke over @tedcruz! https://t.co/wKwtuqXCuE

See? Look at all of these Republicans they’ve endorsed!
Announced: the Dallas Morning News–the right-leaning newspaper who endorsed Reagan, Bush 41, Dole, Bush 43, McCain, and Romney in their presidential campaigns–have officially endorsed @BetoORourke over @TedCruz for the U.S. Senate.

Odd. The 2016 presidential race was left off that list:

And in 2012, while endorsing Mitt Romney for president the board also endorsed Ted Cruz’s challenger, Democrat Paul Sadler:
Recommending someone to follow in the Kay Bailey Hutchison-Lloyd Bentsen tradition of bipartisan service is a responsibility this newspaper takes seriously. After thorough examination, we believe Democrat Paul Sadler is the best person to uphold this legacy to Texas and to keep our state relevant where it matters most. Sadler served 12 exemplary years in the Texas House and built a reputation as a smart, constructive, visionary leader who worked effectively across the aisle. By contrast, his opponent in the U.S. Senate race, Republican Ted Cruz, lacks a legislative record.
Heck, the Dallas Morning News has reportedly never endorsed Ted Cruz for any office:
.@TedCruz says odds favor @DallasNews endorsing @BetoORourke. The News endorsed against him all 5 times he's run in Texas. "I do think that this board has believed a caricature that is less than accurate," he says w/Beto at #TexasTownHall. #TXSen https://t.co/QSiCz2eoic

Oh, and it won’t matter anyway:
I don’t know if anyone is influenced by this, but the Dallas Morning News has endorsed Beto O’Rourke. https://t.co/DjOgR7PJeQ

President Hillary Clinton would agree with that above!
Notable. However, if endorsements mattered, Hillary Clinton would be president. https://t.co/Zwhv1u6uk3
