Celebrity attorney Michael Avenatti took to Twitter on Sunday to complain about a poll from Joy Reid that doesn’t show very much support for a future run for president:

Avenatti scolded voters and asked if Dems will “nominate another tired, highly experienced, establishment candidate to run against Trump”:

And this set off a massive backlash of libs who thought he was targeting Hillary Clinton, for good reason:

Avenatti did quickly clarify that he didn’t mean Hillary Clinton, but this explanation really doesn’t make much sense. The “others that ran against Trump” were all Republicans:
