Kit Kat helps dude dragged by social media propose to Weekly Standard reporter Haley Byrd

Remember back in May when Weekly Standard reporter Halye Byrd posted this photo of her boyfriend eating a Kit Kat incorrectly and it went viral after hundreds of people told her to break up with him over it?

Well, Haley didn’t listen to social media — a lesson for us all! — and it worked out pretty well for her, with an assist from Kit Kat:
