President Donald Trump tweeted earlier this morning that he’s looking forward to meeting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at noon today:
Looking forward to seeing my friend Prime Minister @AbeShinzo of Japan at noon. Will be discussing North Korea and Trade.

Prime Minister Abe then retweeted it to his followers:
But then things took a wrong turn when he quote-tweeted (now deleted) back at Trump to say he looked forward to the meeting but quote-tweeted Trump’s latest attack on Sen. Jeff Flake. Screenshot:

Now, Sen. Jeff Flake is currently ripping on the president for his protectionist trade policies which had us wondering if this was an intentional move on the part of the Japanese prime minister:
I plan to speak on the Senate floor tomorrow morning to discuss the administration’s protectionist policies and the importance of America's leadership in the world. Here is some of what I intend to say: pic.twitter.com/ox8HX75lsY

But, NOPE. Just a Twitter fail which was replace by this conventional reply:
I too look forward to having fruitful talks with my great friend President @realDonaldTrump as always
