There was actually legislative news being made yesterday, but you wouldn’t know it from the news coverage.
President Trump signed the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act to help combat online sex trafficking on websites like Backpage.com:
#SESTA will help ensure justice for trafficking victims & survivors. I was honored to stand alongside my friend from #Ohio, trafficking survivor and founder of Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution (SOAP) Theresa Flores, as @POTUS signed #SESTA into law today at the White House.

There was very light coverage of the signing on Twitter:
Trump signed an anti-online-sex trafficking bill yesterday, and I don't think I saw one thing about it on Twitter. https://t.co/B0IYjlb91Q

Or on the networks, for that matter:
I should note that this was covered by many local evening news programs, but did not get a mention on any of the three national broadcast newscasts. https://t.co/ypIG3T1EM7

But there was one nice moment where a sex-trafficking survivor, identified only a M.A., was so ecstatic that she “dabbed” and broke out into a dance as Trump signed the bill. Watch:
