Stoneman Douglas student activist Kyle Kashuv, who tweeted yesterday that he was supposed to go on CNN today for an interview with Brooke Baldwin, reports that his appearance was cancelled over a quote-tweet that relates back to sportswriter Clay Travis:
My friend just got a call from @CNN. They're canceling my interview because I quote RTed a Tweet where @ClayTravis called @BrookeBCNN a "fake news hypocrite" (and was quoted in the title).
But don't worry, CNN really wants to have the other side on, as long as they're complicit https://t.co/t95zexPiF8

Apparently this is the tweet that CNN objected to:
Kyle reports that CNN “diretly pointed to” the tweet above when they canceled on him:
They directly pointed to this https://t.co/ObEJpaYjUj

As we told you last summer, Baldwin got angry at Travis when he said “First Amendment and boobs” on air:

And this is why CNN won’t interview Kyle?
.@CNN canceled my interview with them for a RT of an article that states actual facts in there, but for some reason they don't say a word when people call @DLoesch a child murderer, the @NRA murderers, and @marcorubio is like looking down the barrel of an AR-15 on their network.

CNN has some explaining to do, that’s for sure:
He tweeted and article that quoted someone else saying “fake news hypocrite.” If that merits the greatly exaggerated use of “disparagement” then we’re going to have fun with adjectives today.

Over to you, CNN:
I really hope this isn’t why this happened, CNN. Him quote Tweeting an article wherein another was justifiably critical of some of your content seems a silly reason to cancel him. https://t.co/zVf2nIcwc9

Hopefully this gets cleared up, and fast.
