Michael Avenatti, lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels, was on MSNBC last night with Ari Melber and he most certainly DID NOT say anything like this:
Stormy’s Lawyer on MSNBC. I’ll paraphrase. “We have photos of Trump’s penis”.
— Claude Taylor (@TrueFactsStated) March 19, 2018
Watch for yourself.
But, of course, Claude Taylor’s FAKE NEWS quickly went viral with many, many blue check liberals giddy at the thought of a presidential penis pic making its way online:
get out your microscopes https://t.co/l8lYhUV0XU
— Cheri Jacobus (@CheriJacobus) March 19, 2018
oh great, now I'm going to find out what the president's penis looks like https://t.co/qZ2UDP0q5K
— Dana Schwartz (@DanaSchwartzzz) March 19, 2018
It's bald just like its owner. https://t.co/M1Usl1jQLf
— John Scalzi (@scalzi) March 20, 2018
I didn't know they made cameras that zoom in that far? https://t.co/2USvPruPFe
— Will LeGate (@williamlegate) March 19, 2018
Which is part of the entire “fake news”problem, but they won’t admit it:
The number of blue checkmark, otherwise savvy people sharing a Claude Taylor tweet tonight is a good example of the depth of the information mess we're in.
— Tom Gara (@tomgara) March 19, 2018
Claude ? Taylor ? isn't ? credible ?
— Ken Klippenstein (@kenklippenstein) March 20, 2018
This is a complete lie, her lawyer said nothing close to this. https://t.co/Tp1bCLQyBy
— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) March 20, 2018
Lots of folks are retweeting this and screenshotting it (including big accounts) but her lawyer said no such thing, not even close to it. He said additional evidence including documents. pic.twitter.com/wZi7ZRyfB3

And for a longer takedown of “opportunistic slimeball” Taylor and how he purposely misled folks, read this thread:
…so, I'm a little out of it today (didn't sleep very well this weekend), and I just realized I RTed something I meant to scathingly QT earlier today.
That "We have pics of Trump's penis." tweet is by Louise Mensch's partner in slime, Claude Taylor.

Stormy Daniels's lawyer said that they have pictures of Trump's penis in the same way that Orin Hatch was sworn in as president last spring; i.e., he didn't.
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
The crew that is claiming that the "other documents" can only be a nude photo is the same crew that has been saying impeachment/indictment is imminent, or already happened, since this mess began.
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
The odds that Stormy Daniels has a nude picture of Trump is vanishingly small. He certainly wouldn't let her take one. He had no reason to send her one. He's not personally tech savvy. He barely understands how to use Twitter and he does that. All. The. Time.
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
In Trump's world, things always flow in one direction. Women give him nude pictures. He takes nude pictures of women.
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
The NDA covers even hypothetical situations (like paternity) but as far as I know it didn't allude to photos in her possession.
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
Yeah, it's been mentioned. It fits a lot about his personality. Germophobia, insecurity, and again, the idea that everything should be one directional. Nudity is vulnerability. Women expose themselves to him, not vice-versa. https://t.co/LqQ59ODuxj
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
Look. Lawyers, unlike Menschites, are known for the precision of their language. The lawyer said "documents". Not "photos". Not the broader term "evidence". You can find definitions of "document" that stretch to include photos but if he wanted it understood there were pictures…
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
…he would have said there were pictures, and if there were pictures and he didn't want to play that card yet, then him saying "documents" is not a cutesy way of playing coy about the pictures, it's him not mentioning the pictures at all.
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
I'm not going to chase down everybody retweeting that or joking about it and set them straight because I Am Not Trump's PR Flak.
But. People come here for (among other things) the honest truth, and that's the honest truth. I'm sorry I RTed it without commentary earlier.
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
Claude Taylor is at BEST an opportunistic slimeball who uses creative misinterpretation of the news to puff up his personal profile and profit. At WORST, he's a deliberate misinfo agent who is actively working to undermine, confuse, and ultimately demoralize resistance to Trump.
— Alexandra Erin (@AlexandraErin) March 20, 2018
I'm sorry for having helped spread this nonsense uncritically, if only for a few hours.
