President Donald Trump responded to this morning’s bombshell news about Matt Lauer in a series tweets, asking when NBC and Comcast will fire its “top executives” for “putting out so much Fake News” as well as calling for an investigation of “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough for an “‘unsolved mystery’ that took place in Florida years ago”:
Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. Check out Andy Lack’s past!

Update — Trump deleted the tweet above and replaced it with this:
So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin? And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the “unsolved mystery” that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!

Now, we have no idea what “unsolved mystery” Trump is talking about here, but we will assume it’s about Scarborough’s intern who died in 2001:
Is Trump insinuating that @JoeNBC had something to do with the death of his intern, Lori Klausutis, in 2001?
Medical examiner said Klausutis died after heart problems caused her to fall and hit her head on the desk. No apparent signs of foul play. https://t.co/R7SmEXdyOn

The Scarborough reference is likely to the baseless rumors that Scarborough was involved in the death of an employee in his Congressional office. https://t.co/zme5iTgqgg

Trump has seemingly accused Joe Scarborough of killing his former aide Lori Klausutis (the autopsy states she died of an accident caused by cardiac arrhythmia) https://t.co/VZIhny2AuZ

This is the president of the United States pushing a baseless conspiracy theory that an MSNBC host murdered one of his staff. https://t.co/p6zlNsZbN6

Update — Joe Scarborough responds:
Looks like I picked a good day to stop responding to Trump's bizarre tweets. He is not well. https://t.co/XJhW5ZHNfs
