Under the precedent set by Al Franken YESTERDAY, his 'intended to be funny' groping of @LeeannTweeden 'wasn't a joke'

As we told you, at yesterday’s 5th Circuit confirmation hearing for Justice Don Willett of Texas, Al Franken was one of the sanctimonious senators criticizing Willett for his past jokes on Twitter.

Well, under the exact same rules Franken set down just yesterday, his “intended be funny” groping of Leeann Tweeden “wasn’t a joke” at all:

“It was clearly intended to be funny but wasn’t.” <– this is almost exactly what Willett said to Franken yesterday during his confirmation hearing, of an A-ROD joke. Franken's response? "Sometimes when you don’t get a joke, it’s because it wasn’t a joke.” https://t.co/KjRqO1LW23
