Imagine being on a flight over the ocean and all of a sudden, the airplane starts to shake like no other flight you’ve ever taken before. And now imagine the pilot coming on the loudspeaker to explain what’s going on but instead says, “I hope you all say a prayer” and “hopefully everything turns out for the best” as the plane turns back.
Because that’s what happened to AirAsia X flight D7237 as it traveled from Perth to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday:

According to reports, on of the blades come of the turbine during the flight, causing the plane to shake violently — which passengers of course filmed because this is 2017 and all:
