Dave Rubin of the “Rubin Report” has accused liberal magazine Mother Jones of libel after an article labeled him as a member of the “far right”:
Hey @joshharkinson, your article is outright libelous about me. Expect a public retraction from you and @MotherJones. pic.twitter.com/E8RINik0Hk

This is, to put it mildly, a problematic charge from Mother Jones:
.@joshharkinson, We know the alt-right, we fought the alt-right, @RubinReport ain't alt-right.
We do not agree a lot, but facts matter. https://t.co/E1OQ3v2pua

@joshharkinson What *hard* proof do you have to call @RubinReport the "Far Right?" Any? You have nothing. Zero. It was a smear.

Rubin is demanding a retraction and correction:
They call everyone far right so we stop talking to each other for fear of being publicly destroyed. They fucked with the wrong guy today. https://t.co/nlV41OmUaL

Here's the definition of libel. We got all four ladies and gentlemen! pic.twitter.com/M8FdDmaTU0

FWIW, the author of the piece has noted Rubin’s objection, but the text remains:
Dave, I have updated the story to reflect your objection. Thank you for reaching out about this.

Here’s the update:
(Update: Dave Rubin objected on Twitter to being labeled far-right, writing, “I’m gay married, pro choice, against death penalty, pro pot legalization.”…)
Over to you, Mother Jones. Do the right thing, eh?
