Libs are giddy over this new CNN report titled, “Sources: Russia tried to use Trump advisers to infiltrate campaign”…

…but we’re not sure this means what they’re hoping it means. If the narrative libs are hoping for is that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to interfere in the election, why would the Russians have to infiltrate the campaign at all?

This headline undermines the theory that Trump team colluded with Kremlin. pic.twitter.com/vN7n7kHICA

The worst-case scenario theory is that Trump and ppl close to him directly coordinated. If so, then why would Russia need to "infiltrate"?

And then there is Russia’s choice of targets to pull off this grand scheme:
Carter Page infiltrated the Trump campaign so well he could barely get his emails returned. https://t.co/k79Ri2XOJJ

If Russian intel was trying to use Carter Page to "infiltrate" Trump campaign, then they need better intelligence. https://t.co/WI6LjvhwrK

The article goes on to say that these “sources” aren’t even sure Carter Page or the other unnamed Trump campaign advisors even knew what was going on:

These officials made clear they don’t know whether Page was aware the Russians may have been using him. Because of the way Russian spy services operate, Page could have unknowingly talked with Russian agents.
Um, wouldn’t the Russians try to do this with any number of politicians or government officials, of both parties? This is what spies do.
As for Page, he’s set to sit down with CNN’s Michael Smerconish on Saturday morning, so he’s not hiding from this at all:
DVR alert: Carter Page will join me tomorrow morning at 9am eastern @cnn @CNNPolitics https://t.co/H0W1pBIhOB
