Jonathan Alter finally admits he was wrong about Steve Bannon, but the damage is already done

So it looks like Jonathan Alter finally checked his replies and figured out that Harvard constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe told him yesterday his theory that Steve Bannon would need Senate confirmation to sit in on NSC meetings was all wrong (as we told you):

I defer to @tribelaw on reading of murky NSC statute. Alas, by using Principals Committee loophole, Bannon doesn't need to be confirmed.

But the damage was already done. As of the writing of this post, Alter’s correction has 24 RTs compared to his original tweet that has 15,000+ RTs and counting:
