Earlier today Ted Cruz shared — and then deleted — a tweet that made it look like he was advocating for a new party “if/when Hillary wins” the election:
Mysteriously deleted. https://t.co/uLnyYSXsva

We were able to capture a screenshot. From the looks of it, this is the title of the article from Conservative Review and not something Cruz or someone with access to his Twitter account actually wrote, which we assume is why he deleted it:
However, many people commented on it before the deletion with some on board with the idea of a new party:
I'd probably be very confused, 23 days out, if/when an endorser of a candidate started talking about if/when said candidate's opponent wins. https://t.co/hgPFwLM4us

I agree, Ted. The GOP has been taken over by racist extremists who promote misogyny, deny science, never compromise, & suppress black voters https://t.co/kDidSfLNpb

Update (9:00). Ted Cruz asks for an investigation!
Team Cruz says this tweet didn't come from anyone authorized to use the account (that they know of). They've asked Twitter to look into it. pic.twitter.com/711K420Nd8
