Oh my.
As we told you last night, there were quite a few protesters both inside and outside of Donald Trump’s rally in Albuquerque, N.M. last night, but it’s comments the presumptive nominee made about the state’s governor, Susana Martinez, that are raising a few eyebrows this morning.
Trump said:
“Since 2000, the number of people on food stamps in New Mexico has tripled. We have to get your governor to get going. She’s got to a better job, OK? Your governor has got to do a better job. She’s not doing the job. Hey! Maybe I’ll run for governor of New Mexico! I’ll get this place going. She’s not doing the job. We got to get her moving, come on let’s go governor!”

Former presidential candidate Marco Rubio came to Gov. Martinez’s defense this morning on Twitter:

The truth is @ Gov_Martinez is one of the hardest working and most effective Governors in America. https://t.co/QcADopQCYe

Little Marco is back!
Martinez had told reporters she was “too busy” to attend the rally, which is maybe why Trump was so pissed:
Susana Martinez said in a press conference today that she is too busy to attend the #Trump rally tomorrow.

And this should pretty much end any speculation of a Trump-Martinez ticket:

New Mexico is considered a swing state that President Obama won 52.99% to 42.84%.
