As we reported earlier, one of the big losers in yesterday’s elections was the Democrat party in Virginia which came up short in its effort to win a majority in the state senate despite millions spent on anti-gun advertising by Michael Bloomberg.
Let the mocking begin!
BREAKING: #NRA-backed candidates retain control of #Virginia Senate #ElectionDay #2A
— NRA (@NRA) November 4, 2015
92% of NRA-backed candidates won in #VirginiaElections. Voters soundly rejected @MikeBloomberg and @Everytown! #guncontrolfail
— NRA (@NRA) November 4, 2015
#Virginia #NRA members and Second Amendment supporters told @MikeBloomberg his money can’t buy their senate seats! #VirginiaElections
— NRA (@NRA) November 4, 2015
.@MikeBloomberg and @Everytown outspent the #NRA 30-1 in a failed attempt to buy the #Virginia Senate. #guncontrolfail
— NRA (@NRA) November 4, 2015
.@MikeBloomberg’s #guncontrol message failed in #Virginia yesterday, and it’ll fail in 2016 too! #DefendtheSecond pic.twitter.com/x7ESpMWyx8

What’s embarrassing? Spending $3M dollars on #guncontrol message and having 92% of NRA-backed pro-#2A candidates win #fail
— NRA (@NRA) November 4, 2015
And in the one race Everytown/Bloomberg did win, the candidate under-performed:
Congrats, @Everytown! You spent $1.7M in a 63% Obama district and your candidate only got 54% #Virginia #fail https://t.co/nuifgjMdvm

This also destroys the liberal narrative that it’s the NRA’s money that determines the outcome in elections.
