Oops: Reporter apologizes to Carlos Santana's daughter after falsely reporting Carlos Santana had died

Oops.

CBC Radio One host Chris Walker was forced to apologize earlier today after erroneously tweeting that rocker Carlos Santana had died:

And according to Mashable editor Brian Ries, Santana’s daughter wasn’t very happy with Walker’s sloppy reporting:

So rather than say do a quick Google search to see if Santana died, he just tweeted it out there?
