Jake Tapper chastised certain unnamed media organizations tonight for the way they handle press inquiries from certain unnamed unfriendly reporters:
Media organizations that feed rival Reporter B answers to questions from unfriendly Reporter A are acting like political campaigns. Unseemly

None of us think it's ethical when campaigns do that — cut it out. Unacceptable.

We have no idea which media organizations Tapper is talking about, of course, but it sure does sound a lot like the way the Washington Free Beacon has been treated of late in both the NYT piece on Rubio’s tickets and on the ABC–George Stephanopoulos–Clinton Foundation donations story:
What’s wrong? Chicken? Why did NYT turn to Politico when Free Beacon asked about Rubio story?
Slimy: Did ABC leak the Stephanopoulos story to Politico so the Free Beacon wouldn’t get the scoop?
Tapper’s readers seem to agree:
I agree that NYT needs to start responding to Free Beacon’s questions instead of running to Politico to answer them. https://t.co/We1Pg3DNA5

@jaketapper Also doesn't look good that news organization of Rival reporter B gladly runs with it

Now, let’s see if these media organizations take the advice.
