Another day, another made up media kerfuffle with GOP presidential candidate Rand Paul.
Today’s example of hackery is that Sen. Rand Paul walked out/cut short/stormed off an interview with a Guardian reporter and his staff turned out the lights rather than answer one last question:

Rand just apparently cut short an interview with the Guardian on periscope after qs about GOP and criminal justice

Rand Paul literally just cut off the whole guardian interview when asked for specifics, the lights turned off and everything

Except it was CNN that turned off the lights:
. @ZekeJMiller he did get annoyed w the guy but actually we turned lights off when he finished bc our intv was right after in same room

We didn't turn the lights off and neither did my staff. CNN producers did. It was time for my interview with @DanaBashCNN – Team Rand

And Sen. Paul was more than gracious with the Guardian reporter. Here’s the video where Paul tells the reporter “one last question.” But after Paul’s answer, the reporter asks another one and that’s when CNN cut the lights:
@ZekeJMiller Hi Zeke. Mind tweeting out the video of Rand answering the reporter's "one more question. Thankshttps://t.co/ItjNHObbtg

Time for every single one of these outlets to correct their reporting. Now.
